This was made possible by the construction of the exit from the bridge to Troyeshchyna, which includes a tunnel under the railway and a road to Petro Vershyhory Street in the direction of Roman Shukhevych Avenue.
Autostrada implemented this facility in 9 months.
What was done:
-a 90-meter tunnel under the railway track was constructed using an open method. The tunnel was built in 2 stages so as not to stop the movement of strategically important railway transport;
-the railway track was restored using modern structures and technologies;
-a raised railway platform and stairs were built;
-a new road was built under the turning circle of the high-speed tram. The width of the road is 9 m (two lanes for traffic + a bike path);
-sidewalks, bike paths, lighting, a rainwater drainage system, retaining walls and noise protection screens were installed;
- reinforced concrete was made on the water pipes that pass in the area of the highway;
- on the high-speed tram tracks, the space between the tracks was laid with reinforced concrete slabs and road surface structures were arranged.
After the start of traffic, work will continue on decorating the walls of the tunnel and sidewalks, installing a ramp to the railway platform for the comfort of passengers at the "Raiduzhny" station (Troyeshchyna-2). These works will be completed by the end of December.
4 Autostrada departments worked simultaneously on the implementation of the facility in 24/7 mode: bridge construction, road, drilling and crane and facing. This is more than 800 Autostrada specialists.
You can enter the Podilsko-Voskresensky bridge from the right bank from Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street and exit from Petra Vershyhory Street, from the left bank you can enter from St. Petro Vershyhora, exit - on Naberezhno-Rybalska Street.
The construction of the exit to Troyeshchyna is just one of the stages of the Podilsko-Voskresensky bridge crossing project. The city plans to comprehensively complete this large-scale infrastructure facility, which will significantly improve the capital's traffic.
