The main front of work is focused on the European Union Avenue, where a set of measures necessary for the earliest possible restoration of traffic on this highway is being carried out.
Three excavations are being developed here simultaneously - for a tunnel, storm sewers and a drainage system. In parallel, the relocation of engineering communications is underway, as well as the restoration of road surfaces and sidewalks within the microdistrict, where work on transferring networks has already been finalized.
Monolithic works have been completed in the underground passage to the future Varshavska station. Ahead is the implementation of waterproofing and interior decoration.
On the stretch between the Mostytska and Varshavska stations, more than 1.6 km of monolithic tunnels (in both directions) have already been constructed.
In areas where the backfilling of double-decker tunnels has been completed, chemical soil consolidation is being carried out using the injection method. With the help of special solutions that are pumped under pressure around the structures, possible voids are eliminated, the soil mass is stabilized and the risks of further subsidence are minimized. This ensures the long-term reliability of the tunnels and the surface above them.
In parallel, technological equipment of the finished tunnels continues. Autostrada specialists continue the installation of galvanized cable-bearing structures, on which power, control, low-current and technological cable lines will be placed. They will provide power supply, operation of automation systems, dispatching, communication and other engineering equipment necessary for the safe operation of the metro.
Construction is carried out 24/7. Every day, dozens of interconnected technological processes are performed at the facility, which bring the implementation of one of the most important infrastructure projects of Kyiv closer.
