The temporary structure protects the arena’s interior from external weather conditions, helps maintain the required temperature, and prevents the ice surface from melting.

The next phase will focus on restoring the damaged façade structures. Autostrada has already ordered the necessary sandwich panels and window units. Installation work will begin once the materials have been delivered to the site.

The ice arena sustained extensive damage during a Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv on the night of 18–19 October. More than 400 m² of façade structures were destroyed, while the windows, entrance area, building services, and interior spaces were also damaged.

Chalette is the only ice arena in Kyiv that meets the standards for hosting professional competitions and training in ice hockey, figure skating, and short-track speed skating. It serves as a training venue for students of the Kryzhynka Youth Sports School, sports clubs, and professional and amateur teams.

Autostrada’s priority is to restore the damaged infrastructure promptly and enable children to resume their training as soon as possible.
