The goal of the project is to solve a critical problem with water supply in the south of Ukraine, in particular in Dnipropetrovsk region. More than a million people remain without water due to the explosion of Kakhovka HPP. There is also no water supply in hospitals, schools, and kindergartens. Autostrada team is finishing laying the pipeline (the total length of the section is 77 km). Backfilling of fiberglass pipes with sand is in progress. Since the pressure in the pipes will be significant, this process takes place in several stages, after each backfilling, the sand is rammed with vibrating plates, and at the bends, the pipes are fixed with special concrete structures. In parallel, we are building 6 pumping stations that will pump 150,000 cubic meters of water per day. Currently, we are carrying out work on the manufacture of monolithic frames, concreting of monolithic slabs and walls (monolithization of walls has already been completed at three stations). Soon, we will begin the overlapping of prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs, and after that - the installation of water-tight fittings inside the stations. Each station will be equipped with four pumps - two main and two standby. A total of 24 pumps are planned to be installed in this area.We are installing switching chambers and precast concrete wells throughout the site. Switching chambers regulate pressure, water level. The chambers are also designed to remove water in the event of an accident or repair on the pipeline.About 500 workers work 24/7 on the construction of the water supply system, more than 200 units of equipment are involved.The launch of the water supply system is planned for December of this year.
