Construction of the metro to Vynohradar: we are building a 42-meter shaft above the tunnel between the “Syrets” and “Mostytska” stations
This is a deep tunnel, which will be built using a tunnel boring machine (closed method). After the tunnel boring machine completes the laying of the left diversion tunnel from the future “Mostytska” to “Syrets”, it will be dismantled and removed to the surface through the mine shaft. Let us recall that the right diversion tunnel between these stations has already been built.
How the mine shaft is constructed: first, we concrete the foreshaft - a guide for drilling a wall in the soil using the bored pile method. This pile system will form a solid concrete wall that will hold the soil and prevent groundwater from penetrating the future mine. After drilling, we will begin excavation. Every 4 meters, the structure will be reinforced with reinforced concrete belts, reinforced from below with a special frame.
In the two-level tunnel (between Mostytska and Prospekt Pravdy), which is being constructed using an open method, we are completing the installation of PVC membrane waterproofing. This waterproofing wraps the tunnel from the outside like a continuous sleeve and consists of autonomous sections that can be restored separately even after construction is complete. Injection fittings are provided for each section, from which tubes will be led out through the tunnel frame. In the event of damage to the waterproofing, resin or acrylate gel can be injected through these tubes, which will fill the cavities. After installing the waterproofing, we will begin reinforcing and concreting the two-level tunnel.
