Bekhivka Granite Quarry – a strategic link in Autostrada’s integrated production cycle

One of the key factors behind the high quality of Autostrada’s projects is its robust, in-house industrial production base, which currently includes over 50 production facilities. This self-sufficiency eliminates reliance on external suppliers and volatile market conditions, ensuring consistent quality, faster construction timelines, and effective control at every stage.
The Bekhivka Granite Quarry (BGQ) holds confirmed reserves of over 20 million cubic meters, with the potential for further growth. The crushed stone produced at the quarry boasts the highest quality indicators in Ukraine, including exceptional rock strength exceeding 1,400 kgf/m³, high frost resistance, and the lowest radioactivity level (Class I) — making it completely safe for human use.
BGQ's production capacity exceeds 2 million tons of crushed stone annually, which is utilized across all phases of construction — from the lower layers of roadbeds to the production of high-strength concrete, structural elements, and asphalt mixtures.
Recently, a new screening unit was launched at the quarry based on the Metso CVB 2060 screen (Finland) — a modern installation that separates granodiorite into four fractions (0 to 20 mm). Each fraction is discharged via a separate conveyor belt, minimizing cross-contamination.
The system includes four decks with advanced harp-like sieves, significantly reducing dust content in the final product. For instance, dust content in the 2–5 mm fraction does not exceed 1%.
This screening unit is integrated into the Metso crushing and screening plant, operating in automated mode under centralized control via specialized software. This setup has reduced energy consumption and optimized workforce needs.
In addition to the stationary Metso plant, BGQ operates fully automated production lines featuring top-tier equipment from global manufacturers: KLEEMANN mobile crushing systems, specialized machinery from JCB, Caterpillar, Volvo, Scania, and Epiroc drilling rigs. This integrated approach ensures a continuous production cycle and consistently high product quality.
To maintain quality control, the quarry operates its own laboratory, where crushed stone samples are taken every two hours. Test results are recorded in a quality passport that accompanies each batch, ensuring product compliance with standards and enabling real-time equipment adjustments when necessary.
The company plans to further upgrade its equipment, expand screening lines, and certify its products for export to European markets.
