Autostrada continues restoring one of the country’s most important transport arteries — the M-06 Kyiv–Chop highway in Zhytomyr and Rivne regions

Road crews are currently carrying out repair works on two sections of the M-06 highway: in Zhytomyr region — on the Korostyshiv bypass (km 103+000 – km 129+000), and in Rivne region — near the village of Fedorivka (km 282+000 – km 305+000).
The M-06 is one of Ukraine’s key international highways, stretching over 900 km. It is a strategically important route that forms part of the E40 and E471 European corridors, connecting Kyiv with western regions and providing access to the European Union borders. Every day, thousands of vehicles travel along this road — from passenger buses to heavy trucks supporting international logistics and strengthening Ukraine’s economic ties with Europe.
Before the works began on March 1, the condition of these sections had become critical. Numerous potholes and road surface damage posed serious risks to traffic. The last major overhaul of the M-06 was carried out about 14 years ago, ahead of UEFA Euro 2012.
Repair works are currently underway on a 50 km stretch of the highway. So far, Autostrada road crews have eliminated more than 56,000 m² of potholes. Every stage of the works is under continuous supervision by Autostrada’s technical control specialists and road laboratory, ensuring the durability of the pavement and safe traffic conditions on one of the country’s most important highways.
Each day, more than 100 road workers and about 60 units of specialized equipment are involved in the works on the M-06.
We urge drivers to stay attentive in roadwork areas, follow temporary road signs, and comply with speed limits.
