After completing the main set of works on reinforcing the span structure at the facility, we moved on to the next technological stage - concreting.
We are concreting the span structure in stages, with separate grabs of 18 meters each. This technological sequence ensures uniform inclusion of metal beams in the work and distribution of the load on the structure. Concreting began from the middle part of the span, after which we will sequentially move to the extreme sections. This allows us to evenly load the span structure during the concreting process.
We produce concrete for the facility at our own Autostrada production facilities, which allows us to control its characteristics and continuously ensure the required concreting rates. We control the quality of materials and work performance at each technological stage by our own certified laboratories - from checking the concrete mix to checking the strength of the finished structure.
We plan to complete the concreting of the entire span structure by the end of September.
In parallel, road crews are working on the junctions of the traffic interchange - here we are starting to install layers of asphalt concrete. Thus, work is being carried out simultaneously on several sections: on the overpass we are performing a complex of monolithic works, on the junctions - we are arranging the road surface structure.
We are working on the overpass near the Chernihivska metro station around the clock. More than 300 specialists and about 150 pieces of equipment are working here 24/7. In November, we plan to restore car and tram traffic through the structure and open traffic along Brovarskyi Avenue.
We plan to fully complete the overhaul of the overpass in 2027.
