Construction of the bridge across the Dniester River moves to Moldovan territory

Autostrada continues the construction of a temporary technological bridge across the Dniester in the direction of the future international checkpoint "Yampol - Koseuts". We are starting work in the Moldovan part of the Dniester riverbed.
The opening of traffic is scheduled for the end of this year. The Autostrada team is working 24/7.
So far, 120 out of 276 meters of the bridge have been built and 11 out of 24 metal supports have been installed. Each support consists of eight pipes and three icebreakers. The height of the bridge above the water level in the Dniester is about 11 meters. The span structure is formed from metal beams and reinforced concrete slabs. A special notch is provided on the surface of the slabs for better adhesion of vehicle wheels to the pavement.
In parallel, Autostrada road crews are building about 3 km of access road to the temporary bridge from the Ukrainian side. Soon, our road workers will begin the construction of the bridge exit and its connection to the existing road network on the Moldovan side.
The new bridge will create an alternative route between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova and will provide a direct transport connection between Vinnytsia and the Moldovan city of Soroca.
This bridge, in particular, is also necessary for the resumption of construction of the main international bridge crossing over the Dniester, 1,309 meters long. Autostrada began the implementation of this large-scale infrastructure project in 2021, but after the start of a full-scale war, work on the main bridge was suspended. In the future, the technological bridge will allow access for equipment, materials and construction crews and continue the construction of the main crossing. After the construction is completed, the main temporary bridge will be dismantled, and its structures can be reused at other facilities.
