The international highway connects five regions of Ukraine and leads to the checkpoint on the border with Poland. Therefore, it was necessary to ensure full-fledged movement in this direction as soon as possible.

This is the first rebuilt bridge in Zhytomyr region, where 5 such objects were destroyed due to hostilities.

In March, it was attacked by enemy aircraft. As a result, the bridge deck over the Irsha River was practically destroyed.

The Avtostrada group of companies began its restoration on June 8.

Today, December 5, at 11 a.m., traffic was opened on the rebuilt bridge.

In less than six months, employees of "Autostrada":

- 5 spans of the bridge were completely replaced;

- the bridge deck was dismantled;

- carried out capital repair of supports;

- installed crossbars on the supports;

- a new washroom and barrier fence were installed;

- a transitional plate was installed;

- the cabinet wall and doors were replaced;

- a 2-layer asphalt concrete coating was installed;

- marked.

The most difficult thing, our bridge builders say, was to dismantle the bolts of the damaged structure. Reinforced concrete transverse beams had to be broken for more than a month. And do it manually with jackhammers.

While the work was going on, traffic was carried out by a temporary crossing, which our team arranged parallel to the bridge.

The length of the restored bridge on "Varshavka" is 160 linear meters. The load on the bridge and its structures can be about 100 tons.
