Interchanges of the Darnytsky bridge will be completed in July — Maksym Shkil

The "Avtostrada" group of companies plans to complete the construction of the left-bank interchange on the Darnytskyi Bridge in Kyiv by the end of July 2023. This was reported in the press service of the "Avtostrada" group of companies.

As of today, work is carried out 24/7. Despite the delay in funding from the state, the company is carrying out work with its own funds.

"Despite interruptions in the supply of materials, complicated logistics, as well as the fact that about 1,000 of our Autostrada employees went to the front, already in May 2022 we resumed construction work on the two exits of the Darnytskyi bridge," emphasized Maksym Shkil.

"Since January, we have been working around the clock, depending on the technological process, about 100 workers and specialized construction equipment are involved in the construction every day. All the necessary 36 supports and 3 reinforced concrete structures of the retaining walls of the bridge exits have already been erected. Currently, work is being carried out on the installation and welding of the metal structures of the spans construction of exits from the bridge. 692 tons of metal constructions of span structures have already been installed," said the owner of the "Avtostrada" group of companies, Maksym Shkil.

In addition, 3,178 square meters have already been completed. meters of asphalt pavement on exits. Almost 700 tons of beams with a total length of 140 m have already been installed. At the same time, the internal surfaces of the beams are being painted to protect them from corrosion and
preliminary sandblasting and priming of surfaces.

In March, it is planned to install metal structures weighing more than 200 tons across the Dnipro Embankment. In April, they will start laying waterproofing of span structures. In May-June - laying asphalt concrete.

The installation of all metal structures is planned to be completed by mid-May and the asphalt paving to begin. When the weather permits, they will start painting metal structures from the outside. The construction of congresses is planned to be completed in July this year.

"Given that traffic on the South Bridge is limited, the launch of two exits of the Darnytsky Bridge will significantly relieve traffic between the left and right banks of the capital," Maksym Shkil said.

As a reminder, in October 2021, the "Avtostrada" Group of Companies concluded a contract for the construction of two exits from the bridge to the Dnipro Embankment. In November 2021, construction began, which was planned to be completed by the end of 2022, but this did not happen due to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
