Rehabilitating the M-30 Unity Road (Stryi–Uman–Dnipro–Izvaryne) in Kirovohrad Oblast
The M-30 is Ukraine’s longest motorway and one of the country’s key transport routes, with a total length of 1,392.3 km. It connects the western, central and eastern regions of Ukraine, passing through Stryi, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Uman, Kropyvnytskyi, Znamianka and Dnipro, and continuing towards Luhansk Oblast.
The route was named the Unity Road, as it effectively links the country from west to east. Today, amid the full-scale war, the importance of the M-30 has increased even further. It serves as a vital transport artery for interregional connectivity, humanitarian operations and economic logistics.
Autostrada’s road construction teams are rehabilitating the M-30 in Kirovohrad Oblast, from the settlement of Novoarkhanhelsk towards the border with Cherkasy Oblast. Work is currently under way near the villages of Nerubaika and Stanislavivka. In total, 11 km of road pavement will be rehabilitated.
Due to heavy traffic volumes and significant transport loads, the section developed typical pavement defects, including rutting, longitudinal and transverse cracking, alligator cracking, subsidence and deterioration of the asphalt concrete surface course.
Autostrada’s road construction teams have also rehabilitated sections of the M-30 in other regions. In particular, several sections in Vinnytsia Oblast were repaired this spring. The works were carried out near the settlements of Diakivtsi, Litynski Khutory and Lityn, as well as on the approach to Vinnytsia.
