Currently, traffic was opened on a 120-meter bridge in Chernivtsi region on the strategic road T-26-07 Kitsman – Storozhynets – Hlyboka – Oprysheny. This road leads to the border with the EU, in particular to the Ukraine-Romania checkpoints ("Porubne-Siret" and "Krasnoilsk - Vicovu de Sus").

Our bridge builders, despite the difficult nature of the mountain river Prut, floods and spring snowfalls, installed the crossing in just a few months.

The "Norwegian" bridge solved a number of global logistical problems:

- established a high-quality corridor of connection with the EU, which is now very important, considering the amount of humanitarian aid from the West;

- provided a direct connection between the settlements of Hlynytsia and Dubivtsi, whose residents previously had to travel 70 km to reach their destination. After all, the main bridge here was dismantled back in 2021;

- unloaded highways M-19 Domanove – Kovel – Chernivtsi – Terebleche and H-10 Stryi – Ivano-Frankivsk – Chernivtsi – Mamalyha.

It is important that freight vehicles weighing up to 35 tons can also use the temporary bridge. Before the start of traffic, the structure was successfully tested: two trucks were driven onto the carriageway and the span of the span structure was determined with the help of special devices.

Standard "Norwegian" crossings are single-span 30-meter bridges. But specialists of Autostrada Design Institute modified the structure by connecting 4 bridges simultaneously into an inseparable system, which was put onto supports made of metal pipes.

In addition, Autostrada installed transitional slabs and retaining walls, asphalt concrete pavement at the approaches to the bridge, installed appropriate road signs.

Movement on the "Norwegian" bridge will be carried out in reverse mode.
