We have completed the second stage of the transport overpass reconstruction at one of Odesa’s ports

The transport overpass, which plays a key role in the port’s logistics, had been in poor technical condition for many years and was subject to operational restrictions.

As part of the second phase of reconstruction, asphalt concrete pavement was replaced on a section of the overpass approximately 200 meters long, the supports were repaired, and paving stones were laid on the approaches. Thanks to this work, traffic on the renovated section of the overpass was restored today, September 2.

Autostrada has already begun work on the third phase of the project, which will cover a much broader scope, including:

  • installation of a new monolithic reinforced slab across the full width of the roadway and sidewalks of the overpass, as well as repair of the existing reinforced concrete structures;

  • restoration and reinforcement of the overpass supports;

  • application of anti-corrosion protection to the steel and reinforced concrete spans;

  • installation of a thin-layer polymer waterproof road surface;

  • modernization of the drainage system to improve efficiency;

  • installation of composite railings and noise barriers to ensure proper sound insulation.

The third phase covers a section of the overpass over 2,000 meters long and more than 10 meters wide. Over 250 specialists and about 100 units of equipment have been mobilized for the work.

The modernization of the overpass will restore full access to the transshipment terminals, accelerate export processes, and strengthen the resilience of Ukraine’s economy under wartime conditions. This is especially critical given that, by the end of 2024, about 70% of Ukraine’s exports were handled through its seaports.

Autostrada adheres to the highest quality standards at every stage of construction — from material control to execution. This ensures the durability and reliability of the facility.
