Restoring the R-33 highway in the Vinnytsia region

The R-33 highway Vinnytsia – Turbiv – Haisyn – Balta – Velyka Mykhailivka – /M-16/ is an important transport artery connecting the Vinnytsia region with the southwestern districts of the Odesa region.
Currently, Autostrada road crews are working on a 6.2 km section near the villages of Marianivka and Kuna, close to the city of Haisyn. The works are scheduled for completion by April 10.
Some sections of the road were critically damaged, so they are being restored with structural reinforcement. The pavement structure includes three layers with a total thickness of 25 cm:
- a 10 cm base layer made of cement-treated crushed stone to ensure structural strength and prevent settlement;
- a 10 cm leveling layer of coarse-grained asphalt concrete to bear the main loads;
- a 5 cm wearing course that provides a smooth surface and ensures safe and comfortable driving conditions.
On sections with a lower level of deterioration, an 8 cm asphalt concrete layer is being applied.
More than 30 specialists and 21 units of machinery are involved in the works, supported by Autostrada’s own asphalt plants. Quality control is ensured by the company’s mobile laboratories.
We kindly ask drivers to be especially внимательними (уважними): heavy machinery and crews are operating on site. Please follow temporary road signs and observe speed limits.
