Autostrada continues the major repair of the overpass on one of the key transport arteries of the capital.
The dismantling of the emergency structure has now been fully completed: the beams of the spans, supports and their foundations have been dismantled, the asphalt concrete coating and outdoor lighting supports have been dismantled.
To replace the old overpass, we are building a modern engineering structure with improved transport characteristics. The construction of the foundations of the new supports has begun: 10 of the 28 piles have already been driven in under the bridge's intermediate supports. The excavations for the extreme supports have been developed.
In parallel, preparations are underway for the rearrangement of engineering networks. In particular, we are carrying out work to prepare a puncture under the embankment for the transfer of gas pipelines.
Autostrada road divisions are arranging new storm sewer networks and expanding the exits.
After the reconstruction is completed, the overpass will significantly increase in size due to the displacement of the supports: its width will increase from 34.8 to 44.7 meters, and its length from 46.8 to 54 meters. This will allow organizing 8 lanes of traffic - four in each direction, equipping two tram tracks, sidewalks and bike paths on both sides of the structure.
We are working on the site around the clock. Our task is to complete the main monolithic works by the end of September this year and open the new overpass to traffic in November.
More than 200 specialists and more than 100 units of specialized equipment are involved in the project.
