Snow has fallen across most regions of the country — and for Autostrada, this marks the transition into the active phase of winter road maintenance. We are ensuring safe travel in the Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr and Kharkiv regions, maintaining a total of 7,660 km of state and local roads. Special attention is given to strategic routes in the Kharkiv region, which are critically important for military logistics.

Our specialized machinery and road crews are working around the clock: clearing roads and related infrastructure of snow and applying anti-icing materials. In total, 240 workers and 160 units of specialized equipment are involved in eliminating the effects of the severe weather.

Our teams continuously monitor the road situation, allowing us to react quickly to changing weather conditions and promptly deploy the necessary resources. In regions where there is currently no precipitation, crews remain on 24/7 standby. At the same time, we are closely monitoring the situation in the Kharkiv region, where snowfall is expected tonight.

To ensure effective winter response, Autostrada has formed strategic reserves: 140,000 tonnes of anti-icing materials and nearly 40,000 tonnes of technical salt. These materials are stored at more than 50 Autostrada production bases, operating in every region where the company is responsible for road maintenance.

We urge drivers to stay alert and cautious, follow traffic regulations, and give way to road maintenance vehicles whenever possible. Choose safe speeds and distances, and avoid sudden braking or risky maneuvers.
