The construction of Rivne’s Northern Bypass is nearing completion

Traffic on the roundabout has already been opened. Autostrada’s bridge-building teams have completed work on the overpass and the railway bridge: concreting the slopes, repairing expansion joints, and restoring the gabion retaining walls.

We plan to complete the asphalting of the Rivne bypass by the end of the year, with the full scope of works scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026.

Before the full-scale invasion, around 14,000 transit vehicles passed through Rivne every day, turning the city into an overloaded transport corridor and creating traffic congestion and discomfort for residents.

The Northern Bypass will redirect transit traffic away from city streets toward Kyiv, Lutsk, and the border crossing points with Poland — Ustyluh–Zosin and Yahodyn–Dorohusk.

Construction began in 2019, but due to the war, the project was frozen and faced the risk of becoming a long-term unfinished site. At the end of August 2025, Autostrada won the announced tender and immediately resumed work.

Currently, construction is progressing in two parallel directions: the construction of a new 6 km road to the village of Khotyn and the reconstruction of a 4 km section of the route from Khotyn to PJSC “Rivneazot”.

On the new 6 km road to Khotyn, the following works are being carried out:

  • installation of drainage and water removal systems;

  • installation of lighting systems;

  • construction of road pavement layers.

On the 4 km reconstruction section to PJSC “Rivneazot”, ongoing works include:

  • installation of curbstone;

  • installation of drainage and water removal systems;

  • installation of lighting systems;

  • construction of road pavement layers.

More than 200 workers and over 150 units of machinery are involved in the project, supported by Autostrada’s in-house production facilities and a quality control system at every stage. This approach ensures fast, stable, and high-quality execution of all works.
