Autostrada завершує будівництво нових очисних споруд для Миколаєва: запущено перший етап очищення води із застосуванням активованого вугілля

The new filtration station is the first European-style water treatment plant in Ukraine and will provide high-quality drinking water to over half a million residents of Mykolaiv.
Water from the new water supply is already supplied to the activated carbon purification unit, which effectively absorbs organic pollutants, improves the organoleptic properties of water (eliminates foreign odors and improves the taste of water). After this stage, the water is supplied for further purification to the operating Mykolaiv water treatment plants.
Pumping equipment has been installed - 4 pumping units (250 kW). The volume of water that each pump will pump is up to 2,500 m3 per hour. We are conducting hydraulic tests of concrete tanks for tightness. Over the next few months, we will carry out commissioning work and organize landscaping.
In fact, this is the first station of this scale in Ukraine, where such a comprehensive approach to purification has been used. This is a classic European approach to how a water treatment system in a large city should work.
In addition to mechanical microfilters and the use of activated carbon, it is planned to:
-use of pH correction to stabilize the chemical balance of water and create better conditions for the coagulation process;
-oxidation and disinfection with modern reagents;
-coagulation and flocculation, during which impurities are enlarged for further filtration;
-final disinfection and accumulation in tanks, after which the water is sent to existing city treatment facilities.
An automated system will provide control over the operation of the station, which will monitor 18 water quality parameters in real time and independently regulate the amount of reagents.
We have record construction times - only 4 months, together with design solutions developed by the Autostrada design institute with the participation of international experts and UNICEF consultants. This is a super-fast pace! The team worked 24/7. All work was performed exclusively by the company's own forces, without the involvement of subcontractors. Such a full cycle of internal production processes ensures the state the implementation of large-scale projects in a short time with significant savings in budget funds.
During the implementation of the Mykolaiv water supply system, Autostrada provided a discount of over 2.5 billion hryvnias. It was thanks to significant savings that it was possible to build a new treatment plant. Thus, the residents of Mykolaiv received not only a modern main water supply system, but also the latest treatment facilities of the European model.
