Autostrada will restore Kharkiv Highway in Kyiv

Today, Autostrada won the open tender for the capital repair of Kharkiv Highway in the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of Kyiv.
The expected cost of the project was ₴1,402,362,698.40, while Autostrada’s bid of ₴1,258,007,000.00 was the lowest among the participants, which will save the budget more than ₴144 million.
Following the qualification stage and the signing of the contract, the project implementation will begin.
The repair will cover a 5.4 km section of Kharkiv Highway, connecting Sobornosti Avenue, Leonid Kadeniuk Avenue, and Mykola Bazhan Avenue. This road is one of the key transport arteries on Kyiv’s left bank, linking densely populated neighborhoods such as Sotsmisto, Old and New Darnytsia, and the Kharkivskyi residential district.
The road was originally built in 1967 according to the technical standards of that time. After almost 40 years of operation without a full-scale reconstruction, the pavement now requires major upgrades due to numerous cracks, deformations, and surface wear.
The project provides for a comprehensive overhaul using modern technologies and materials, including:
-
Reconstruction of the roadway and sidewalks;
-
Modernization of the stormwater drainage system;
-
New road markings, traffic signs, and lighting;
-
Installation of modern traffic lights;
-
Renovation of underground pedestrian crossings;
-
Construction of bicycle lanes;
-
Installation of new bus shelters at public transport stops.
During the capital repair, a barrier-free environment will be created with lowered curbs and tactile navigation.
The works are planned to be completed in the first half of 2026.
Autostrada has proven experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. All works will be carried out by the company’s own team without subcontractors, ensuring quality, efficiency, and full control at every stage.
