Yagidne received new road infrastructure and a modern street lighting system powered by solar panels

The village, located 15 km from Chernihiv, found itself at the epicenter of hostilities in the spring of 2022. During the occupation in February-March, the residents of Yagodne experienced terrible trials: hundreds of people were locked in the basements of the school, without light, heat, food and water, isolated from the outside world. The Russian troops turned the houses and streets of the village into ruins. Autostrada specialists completely renovated the transport network of the settlement: almost 26,000 m² of new asphalt pavement were laid, entrances, exits, sidewalks were built, and road signs were installed.
The lighting system is autonomous, based on 143 poles, each of which is equipped with two 400 W solar panels. A total of 286 panels and energy-saving LED lamps with intelligent control were installed. The system reacts to the level of lighting: with the onset of darkness, the lights turn on automatically, work until midnight, turn off for the curfew period and activate again at 4 am - until dawn. During the day, the system is charged by the sun. Restoring a comfortable and safe infrastructure in the deoccupied regions is not only about development, but also about human dignity and a return to normal life. Yagydne is an example of how Ukrainian communities are being revived.
